1st Joint Meeting with the Turkish Neurosurgical Society  – Invitation
Print date: 18-Apr-24

Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

We kindly invite you to the 65th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Neurosurgery taking place in Dresden from May 11-14, 2014. Dresden, the capital of the Free State of Saxony, has been called “Elbflorenz” (Florence of the river Elbe, which flows through the city) due to the picturesque Mediterranean view of the old city, as well as its architecture and the way the city harmoniously exists together with the Elbe River and valley. In the immediate vicinity of the conference, prominent architectural landmarks, such as the Zwinger, Semper Opera, Castle, Royal Cathedral, and Brühl‘s Terrace, can be found. The congress center is within walking distance to the old city and the aforementioned historic landmarks.

We will begin the conference with an “Educational Day” which includes clinical recommendations, guidelines, and new developments in concise review sessions.
The scientific program reflects many facets of neurosurgery, including and emphasizing innovations for pre- and intraoperative imaging, tumors of the midline and posterior fossa in children and adults, as well as cranial and spinal vascular malformations (except aneurysms), new aspects in the treatment of disc herniations, and the emerging field of tissue regeneration, and functional restoration

The social program will introduce you to the historic beauty of our city. It is also of special importance to us that this conference will be the first instance of the German Society of Neurosurgery hosting a joint meeting with the Turkish Neurosurgical Society in Dresden.

We invite you to participate in exciting scientific discussions, to build new collaborations and to establish new collegial and personal friendships.

Dresden welcomes you cheerfully; we are very much looking forward to seeing you here!

Professor Dr. Gabriele Schackert
Congress President
